Face Saving Foods

My first suggestion when coping with various skin challenges is to start healing from the inside out. Diet plays a tremendous role in the health of beautiful skin. Incorporating these simple changes will impact not only how you look, but how you feel each day too.

8-10 glasses of purified water is a must, but make sure you are trading that coffee for green tea! Green tea contains theanine, a substance that acts as a natural mood elevator, and also contains an abundance of antioxidants. Consuming high levels of antioxidants daily prevents the breakdown and weakening of collagen and the formation of acne.

Dry Skin: Consume EFA’s (essential fatty acids) found in wild salmon, fresh tuna, and flaxseed. Try freshly grinding flax seed and sprinkling it on yogurt, in smoothies and salads.

Acne Skin: Consume foods high in vitamin A and beta-carotene like broccoli, spinach and melons. AVOID processed foods.

Roseacea Skin: Consume lots of brightly colored fruits and vegetables, like broccoli, brussel sprouts and cantaloupe.

What changes you have made that positively impacted your skin? We would love to share your tips.
